In early 2007 the plans were laid out for a merger between Star Financial Managment Ltd. and the Aall Company Inc. which had a long running history of finance and banking operations overseas. The merger with Aall created the current Aall STAR Financial Group structure and with it Aall STAR Asset Management was also founded as its main product development subsiduary and asset management firm.
